Title: AA-01 DEVELOPMENT OF BRIGADE STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURES

 

Rationale:

Standard Operating Procedures provide a mechanism to administer the Brigade in an effective and efficient manner.

Standard:

Standards are to be set out as follows:

* Proposed title of standard.

* Rationale/reason behind the standard.

* Detail of standard.

* Guidelines for implementing the standard operating procedure.

Standard Operating Procedures will be developed and reviewed as required by the appropriate officer.

No SOP will be introduced, deleted or changed until it is approved by the Executive Committee and signed off by the President.

After a SOP has been introduced, deleted or changed, the President shall notify the Brigade by publishing the SOP in the Brigade Newsletter, the FLAME.

Standard Operating Procedure

These Standard Operating Procedures are to be read in conjunction with
the Blue Mountains Rural Fire Service Standard Operating Procedures,
NSW Rural Fire Service Service Standards
the Rural Fires Act, 1997.

Nothing contained within the SOPs will be considered as overriding
the BMRFS Standards Operating Procedures,
the NSW RFS Service Standards,
RFS Fireground SOPs,
RFS Communications SOPs,
the Rural Fires Act, 1997
or any other Act.
