Rationale:

To ensure that Officers with delegation of authority to incur expenditure act within the prescribed limits.

Delegation to incur expenditure is allocated to positions rather than individuals. Therefore only those Brigade members appointed to or officially acting in a position are entitled to exercise the delegation to the position.

All delegations are subject to the provision that the delegate will not operate in respect of matters which in the opinion of the delegate;

Possess special features or require special consideration or

Are matters of importance, which should be submitted to the Brigade General meeting or the Executive Committee
