Rationale:

To maintain station and non operational equipment in a safe working condition and environment.

Station maintenance days are carried out as requested by either the Captain or Equipment Officer. However time between maintenance days will not exceed three (3) months

The Bbrigade's Safety Officer and another member are required to conduct Health and Safety Inspections and details of such inspections are to be discussed with Captain. The inspection is to be conducted at least every three (3) months.

All members are required to ensure that the station and surrounding area is maintained in as a clean, tidy environment.

Any damaged/defective items of property/equipment within the council boundary of the Ffire Sstation must be reported immediately to the Equipment Officer or the Captain.

SOP should be read in conjunction with BMRFS Health and Safety Policy.
