Rationale:
It is the responsibility of the Equipment Officer to ensure that all vehicles are checked each maintenance night in accordance with the service specification and/or vehicle checklist.
Standard:
Weekly checks include ensuring the vehicles are roadworthy, and all fluid levels, electrical systems and equipment list.
Defects and items missing or need repair should be reported to the Equipment Officer for appropriate action ie either locate, replace, issue a defect notice or notify the Captain.
Standard Operating Procedure
SOP should be read in conjunction with
BMRFS SOPs EB-03; EV-01; EV-02;
and the Brigade SOP 3.1.2.
