Rationale:

Under s99, Rural Fires Act the Minister may declare a Total Fire Ban for the State or parts thereof prohibiting the lighting of fires in the open.

The Captain shall

* Advise his Senior Deputy Captain/Deputy Captains/Station Officer of the TOBAN.

* Ensure the fire station is manned with sufficient crews to enable a fully crewed vehicle to respond to any incident.

* Ensure that all Total Fire Ban signs are displayed on the Blaxland town signs with appropriate brackets and locks

* Ensure that the TOBAN signs at Blaxland Railway Station are displayed for the community.
