Welcome to the Convictions web site, dedicated to the history of shipping arrivals and shipping departures for Australia and New Zealand. These pages were designed primarily to assist those who are interested in family history and genealogy. Besides containing passenger arrival details for various ports around Australia, they also include passenger lists and occasional crew list details for some of the ships.
In addition to these details, this site also contains a number of background pages covering a small number of shipwreck details and other information such as passenger diaries.
| Shipping Arrival and Departure | The main shipping arrivals pages covering all Australian and New Zealand ports from 1788 to 1968. From here you can get to everything on the site. Each entry contains the name of the ship, the arrival or departure date, port of origin and destination, if known, plus other details. If there is a passenger diary, passenger list, crew list or convict list for the ship, it may also be reached from here. Note that although almost all of the information is relevant to Australia, there are occasinal entries for other countries, including New Zealand. |
